Inspired from the idea of creating something that will save you Hay, Money and Time, The Hay Retainer's patent pending design is SUCCESSFUL at reducing livestock waste.  The bend within the insert was specifically designed as a vertical shelf to mount directly onto the upper rail of most round bale feeders.  The Hay Retainer undoubtedly protects from livestock damage and keeps your feed site clean. No longer will you be spending hours cleaning up after your livestock.  The longevity of one hay bale is considerably increased and lasts several days longer compared to any regular round bale feeder.  Therefore, you SAVE Hay, Money and Time! 

Reliability

With the use of 1-1/4" and 1/2" .065 round tube steel, The Hay Retainer is durable, yet light-weight.  The Hay Retainer, comprised of 3 separate welded sections bolted together, also comes equipped with 3 quick release fastening chains designed to lock the insert in place and prevent your livestock from overturning it.  The Hay Retainer also comes with a International Red powder coating paint exterior which a provides long lasting, harder finish that is more durable than most paints.

Mobility

One of the most unique features of The Hay Retainer is that it is completely removable to maximize mobility and accessibility.  With the maximum weight of only 85 pounds, using a front end loader or one to two able bodied individuals, the insert can be placed anywhere you have an existing round bale feeder. Get out your old, obsolete round bale feeders, too!  That's right!  This fits most 8' round bale feeders and with it's removable functionality, you can easily move it from one bale to the next in a matter minutes.
